DELAND, Fla. – With momentum building entering year two under head coach Mike Jasper, Stetson Football has announced its 2026 spring practice schedule, set to begin Monday, March 30, at the Athletic Training Center in DeLand.
The Hatters return to the field following a 2025 campaign that saw the program take a step forward, finishing 3-9 overall and earning two Pioneer Football League victories—its highest conference win total since 2022. With a full offseason of development behind them, Stetson enters the spring focused on continued growth, competition, and building depth across the roster.
"I'm pumped about the spring season finally being here," Jasper said. "We've had a strong offseason in the weight room, and our strength staff has done a phenomenal job getting our guys stronger and more prepared. Our training staff has also done a great job keeping our players healthy. Now it's about getting back on the field and seeing that work translate."
Spring practices will take place throughout April, beginning with sessions on March 30 and 31, followed by workouts on April 2, 7, 9, and 10. The Hatters will hold their first scrimmage on Saturday, April 11, at 10 a.m.
The team will continue practice the following week on April 13, 15, and 17, before hosting a second scrimmage on Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m.
The final week of spring ball includes practices on April 20, 22, and 24, leading into the annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m.
Jasper emphasized the importance of the spring in continuing to shape the identity of the program, both physically and schematically.
"Our guys have made huge strides in their physical development, and it'll be great to see those gains in action," Jasper said. "We've added some good talent to the roster, and our returners have been relentless this offseason. This spring is about competition, development, and continuing to build our system."
All Saturday sessions, including both scrimmages and the Spring Game, will be open to the public, providing fans an early look at the 2026 Hatters.
"We're excited to have our families, friends, and supporters out to see the progress we've made," Jasper added. "It's a great opportunity to connect with our community and show how far this program has come."
