Winners of three in a row, the Stetson Hatters (4-8) will be back in action Monday morning as they host the Penn Quakers (7-2) of the Ivy League. Tip-off at the Edmunds Center is scheduled for 11 a.m. with live coverage on ESPN+.

Tickets start at just $7 for general admission and can be purchased online or at the Edmunds Center box office.  Stetson students, faculty and staff are admitted free with an ID.  The first 50 fans in attendance will receive 2019 New Years glasses.

Stetson went a perfect 3-0 in the Hatter Classic last week, producing three different "types" of wins: The Hatters held off a hard-charging North Dakota on Wednesday, led wire-to-wire against Florida A&M on Thursday, and rallied from 12-down in the second half to defeat North Dakota State 60-59 on Friday.

"It was a tough game.  It was good for us," Stetson head coach Lynn Bria said after the NDSU victory. "We had some adversity.  I like to see what our team is going to do.  Not that we haven't had (adversity) so far, but we haven't been in a really tight game where we have had to crawl back. I was really proud of our team."

The Hatters will look to carry that momentum into Monday's contest with Penn.  The Quakers have won six of their last seven games including a 55-39 win over Drexel on Dec. 21.  Defensively, Penn ranks third in the NCAA in both scoring defense (48.6) and opponent's field goal pct. (.308).  The Quakers have an RPI ranking of 74.

Senior forward Sarah Sagerer is just four blocks shy of breaking the all-time school record for career blocks.  Amber Porter (2013-15) currently holds the record with 208 blocks.  Sagerer, the ASUN Player of the Week, is coming off a seven-block performance against North Dakota State.  She ranks 15th in the NCAA with a 2.5 blocks-per-game average.

The all-time series between Stetson and Penn is tied 1-1.  The teams last met on Dec. 28, 1998 in DeLand - an 85-72 Penn victory. Stetson has not faced an Ivy League opponent since playing Cornell in 2001.

In addition to the ESPN+ broadcast, live stats, the Stetson women's basketball twitter feed, and the HatCheck text messaging service will provide live updates as well.

Home Cooking
The Hatters are 4-1 at home this season, averaging 67.6 points and shooting .414 from the floor and .391 from the arc.  Stetson is 50-6 (.893) in its last 56 non-conference home games.  The Hatters have won 30 of their last 32 home games in the month of December, including the last six in a row.

Tough Schedule
With an RPI of 74, Penn will be the seventh opponent the Hatters have faced this season with a current RPI in top 100. The other teams currently in the top 100 are UCF (22), Tennessee (25), Texas (53), Marist (79), Wright State (81), and Alabama (98).

Stepping Up On D
The Hatters rank second in the ASUN in scoring defense (60.5) and opponent's field goal pct. (.362).  Stetson has held 10 opponents to 65 points or less and seven opponents below 60 points.  The Hatters also rank second in the ASUN in blocks (4.5) and sixth in steals (8.5).

Sagerer, Fizouaty Earn ASUN Awards
After helping lead Stetson to a Hatter Classic sweep, senior forward Sarah Sagerer and freshman guard Bianca Fizouaty were selected as the ASUN Conference Player and Freshman of the Week.  Sagerer earned all-tournament team honors after averaging 16.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.7 blocks in the Hatters' three victories, including a 21-point, 13-rebound, seven-block performance against North Dakota State. Fizouaty, meanwhile, was 7-for-8 from the floor and a perfect 5-for-5 from 3-point range, hitting the eventual game-winning shot in Stetson's 60-59 win over NDSU.
