DeLand, Fla. -- For the third consecutive week and for the fourth time this season, Stetson University forward Michelle Pruitt (Homewood, Ill.) has been named the ASUN Freshman of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Pruitt continued her stellar play by averaging a double-double - 14.7 points and 10.7 rebounds - in three games last week. She shot 69 percent (20-for-29) from the floor and raised her shooting percentage to a league-best .580 in conference play.

Pruitt's best performance of the week and of the season came Saturday at NJIT. The freshman netted 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (13 defensive) while going 8-for-9 from the floor in Stetson's 72-53 victory over the Highlanders.

"I thought Michelle was a monster the entire game," head coach Lynn Bria said after the game. "She is playing with a lot of confidence and it is really nice to see."

Pruitt is now averaging 11.6 points and 7.9 rebounds in ASUN play this season with three double-double performances.

Coupled with earlier honors to Sydney Wagner and Megan Vincent, the Hatters have earned six ASUN Freshman of the Week awards this season.

Stetson (15-12, 6-5 ASUN) will host Kennesaw State (7-15, 3-8) at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Edmunds Center.
