Hatters Ease Past Hofstra

Stetson men's tennis won its sixth consecutive match as the Hatters eased past Hofstra, 6-1, on Wednesday at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
 
In their final tune-up before ASUN Conference play begins on Saturday, the Hatters (12-2) rolled through doubles and won five of six singles matches, most in convincing fashion.
 
Angus Bradshaw & Malik Bhatnagar picked up Stetson's first doubles win of the day with a 6-3 win at No.1. The duo of Loic Blanco & Coilin MacNamara closed out the point with a 6-4 win at No. 3.
 
Bhatnagar picked up Stetson's first singles victory with little effort, winning 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1. Colter DeCoste earned a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 6 for a 3-0 lead, and MacNamara clinched the team victory with a 7-6 (7-0), 6-0 win at No. 4.
 
Blanco was a 6-4, 6-3 winner at No. 2, and Linus Bergevi picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 6.
 
The Hatters begin ASUN play when they host North Florida, 3 p.m., Saturday.
