Ospreys Rally Past Hatters in ASUN Opener

Stetson men's tennis saw its seven-match winning streak come to an end as the Hatters suffered a 5-2 loss to North Florida in the ASUN opener for the Hatters, Saturday at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
 
The Hatters (12-3, 0-1) got off to a great start against the defending regular-season champions, winning the doubles point with relative ease. The No. 3 team of Loic Blanco & Antoine Sanchez earned a 6-1 victory, and the No. 2 tandem of Malik Bhatnagar & Angus Bradshaw won, 6-2, for a 1-0 lead.
 
Singles play, however, belonged to the Ospreys (7-8, 1-1).
 
After Bhatnagar produced a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 for a 2-0 advantage, UNF captured two-set wins at Nos. 3, 4 & 6 for a 3-2 lead on the scoreboard. A three-set victory at No. 2 clinched the team win, and UNF finished off the day with a three-set win at No. 5.
 
The Hatters next visit USC Upstate, Thursday, March 29.
