Hatters Grind Out Win Over Kennesaw State

Stetson men's tennis picked up a hard-fought win on Thursday with a 5-2 victory over ASUN Conference foe Kennesaw State at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
 
The Hatters (15-3 overall, 3-1 ASUN) had to rally to win the match after dropping the doubles point. Stetson also faced a trio of three-set matches, winning two.
 
Kennesaw State led 1-0 after doubles play, but the Hatters got right back in the match as Linus Bergevi earned a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 5. Loic Blanco followed with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2 as the Hatters went ahead, 2-1.
 
Antoine Sanchez gave Stetson a 3-1 lead with a 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 3, and William Shkrob clinched the match for Stetson, winning 7-5 in the third set on Court 6.
 
Angus Bradshaw finished off the match for Stetson with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 4.
 
Stetson closes out the home portion of its schedule on Saturday when the Hatters host ASUN foe Lipsocmb. Loic Blanco will be honored in pre-match ceremonies for Senior Day.
