Hatters Fall 3-0 to Austin Peay

Hao Jin records double figures in kills with 11

Murfreesboro, Tenn. -- Austin Peay used a balanced offensive attack to defeat Stetson 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-20) Saturday morning at the MTSU Blue Raider Bash.

Hao Jin led the Hatters (3-2) with 11 kills as Stetson hit .214 for the match. 

The Governors (5-0) collected 50 kills overall, but only Kaylee Taff reached double figures with 10.  APSU hit .230 as a team and remained undefeated on the season.

Stetson posted a .379 attack percentage in the opening set, committing just two errors in 29 attempts.  The Hatters were within a point late into each of the first two sets as the Govs led 22-21 in the first frame and 23-22 in the second.

Setter Naina Ivanova recorded her 15th career double-double with a 27-assist, 14-dig performance.  Chelcie Spence added 11 digs, while Brianna Schmid and Rebecca Ingram tallied four blocks a piece.

Stetson tallied nine team blocks but notched just one service ace (Spence).

The Hatters will face tournament host MTSU at 8 p.m. ET this evening.  A subscription-based video stream will be available on CUSA.TV.
