Hatters Open Hoops Season with Friday Exhibition

Stetson men's basketball hosts a sneak peek at the 2019-20 season when the Hatters welcome Edward Waters to DeLand for an exhibition game, 7 p.m., Friday at Edmunds Center. Admission is free.

First-year head coach Donnie Jones will make his unofficial debut on Friday. Jones and his staff signed eight new players for the 2019-20 season and the Hatters return five veterans from last season.

Returning for Stetson are guards Christiaan Jones, Jahlil Rawley, Kenny Aninye, and Jalen Crutchfield, and forward Ricky Gouety.

Edward Waters is an NAIA program located in Jacksonville, Fla. The Tigers compete in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.

The Hatters officially open the 2019-20 season when they host Trinity Baptist, 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5 at Edmunds Center.
