Hatters Ready for Weekend Homestand

Stetson to Host FGCU Saturday and B-CU Sunday

The Hatters will begin a three-game homestand with a pair of matches this weekend at the Edmunds Center.  On Saturday, Stetson will host FGCU in an ASUN battle at 6 p.m.  On Sunday, the Hatters will host Volusia County rival Bethune-Cookman at 6 p.m. for the team's annual Pink Game.  

Tickets 
All tickets are general admission and can be purchased for $5.  Stetson students, faculty, and staff are admitted free with an ID.  Fans are encouraged to wear pink on Sunday.

About the Opponents / All-Time Series
FGCU is 12-3 overall and 2-1 in the ASUN with wins over Lipscomb and North Alabama. The Eagles will play at UNF Friday night before heading to DeLand.  FGCU leads the all-time series 19-2.  Bethune-Cookman is 4-11 heading into Friday's match at South Carolina State.  The Hatters lead the all-time series over the Wildcats 58-6.

ASUN Leaders
Stetson leads the ASUN with a 15.1 digs-per-set average as a team.

Record Night
On Sept. 27 vs. Lipscomb, Chelcie Spence broke the school rally-scoring-era single-match record with 36 digs against Lipscomb.  It is the most digs in a match in the ASUN this year.

In the Middle
Senior middle Brianna Schmid leads the team and ranks seventh in the ASUN with a  0.94 blocks-per-set average.  She has 15 blocks in ASUN play.

Consistent Play
Senior outside Eva Deisa has collected double-digit digs all 12 matches this season.  She has seven double-doubles, including three in a row and six in her last seven matches. She also ranks third in the ASUN in aces-per-set (0.44).

The Hatters continue their three-game homestand on Oct. 11 against UNF.
