Hatters Erupt For 116 Points vs. Trinity Baptist

Stetson sets new program high-water mark

DeLand, Fla. -- Stetson set a school record for most points scored in a game in a 116-40 victory over Trinity Baptist Saturday afternoon at the Edmunds Center.

Kennedi Colclough led the way with a career-high 25 points as the Hatters (3-3) surpassed their previous program high-water mark of 114 points scored against Mercer in 1986.

The 76-point win was also Stetson's third-largest margin of victory in school history.

Stetson led 22-10 after 1, 56-18 at the half, and 81-30 after 3. The Hatters hit a season-high eight 3-pointers and shot 58 percent from the floor. 

Colclough pulled down 11 rebounds en route to her second straight double-double.  Day'Neshia Banks notched a double-double as well, registering 20 points and 10 rebounds in just 23 minutes.  Jon'Nita Henry was red-hot from behind the arc, hitting all four of her 3-point attempts for a season-high 14 points.  Kimia Carter also collected a season-high 12 points, including the school-record bucket in the closing seconds.

Megan Vincent and Maddie Novak tallied nine points apiece, Tippy Robertson (eight points) and Tonysha Curry (six points) each dished out seven assists, Kendall Lentz netted seven points, and Alyssa Derrick added six points.

Stetson will visit UCF at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Notes: 
  • The Hatters held a 64-10 advantage in points in the paint and a 44-1 advantage in points off turnovers
  • Stetson's 59 rebounds was the most in a game since 2013 (61 vs. Palm Beach Atlantic)
  • Stetson led wire-to-wire for the second straight home game 
  • Banks reached 20+ points for the third time this season
