Hatters Host Florida College on Tuesday

Stetson men's basketball hosts Florida College, 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Edmunds Center.

The Hatters (3-4) enjoyed a day of rest Monday after they wrapped up three games in three days with a 70-64 loss to Western Carolina on Sunday. Rob Perry (15), Wheza Panzo (11) and Kenny Aninye (10) each scored in double figures for the Hatters but it wasn't enough to overcome fatigue or the Catamounts.

Florida College (4-6) has lost back-to-back games following a 77-75 loss to University of Mobile on Saturday. Sophomore guard Matt Simpson leads the Falcons in scoring at 21.9 points per game.

Young Guns
With six freshmen on the roster it shouldn't come as much of surprise to find out youthfulness is leading the way for the Hatters during the new season.
-Stetson has started three freshmen in every game so far this season. Rob Perry and Mahamadou Diawara have started every game, and Wheza Panzo (3) and Joel Kabimba (4) have split time in the lineup.
-Stetson's leading scorer in 5 of 7 games has been a freshman, either Perry (3) or Diawara (2)
-Four times this season a Hatter has scored at least 20 points, with Perry (2) and Diawara (1) making up three of those efforts
-Five times a freshman has either led or tied for the lead in rebounds in a game. Perry , Diawara and Panzo have done it twice each
-Freshmen are accounting for 63.5 percent of the scoring and 51.7 percent of the rebounding
-Stetson's leaders in points per game and rebounds are both freshmen (Perry & Diawara)
