Hatters Complete Weekend Sweep

Stetson men's tennis completed a perfect weekend with a 4-2 win over East Carolina, Saturday in Statesboro, Ga.

Coupled with their 6-1 win at Georgia Southern on Friday the Hatters (6-5) have won back-to-back matches for the first time all season.

"The coaching staff is very proud of the players following their performance this weekend," Stetson head coach Christophe Noblet said. "I give them a lot of credit for being truthfully honest with each other and working at their flaws so that they can bring together great team performances like this weekend."

Stetson opened the match by winning the doubles point. The No. 2 tandem of Colter DeCoste & Antoine Sanchez started things off with a 6-2 win, and the No. 3 duo of Coilin MacNamara & Clement Hamel clinched the point with a 6-3 victory.

In singles play, Tim Gennes started the Hatters off on the right foot with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 4. After the Hatters lost at No. 2 and No. 3, Hamel pulled off a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1, and Christian Mills clinched the victory with a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (4) win at No. 6.
