Viaud Shines on Senior Day

Stetson's Alexe Viaud was a winner on Senior Day but the Hatters suffered a 5-2 loss to ASUN Conference foe Lipscomb in the final regular-season home match of the year, Saturday at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
 
The only senior on Stetson's roster, Viaud was a 6-2, 6-1 winner on Court 6, giving her 13 dual match singles win for the season. Vicky Geurinckx was the only other Hatter to taste victory against the Bisons (16-5, 5-2), fighting for a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory.
 
Lipscomb captured the doubles point with a pair of 6-1 wins on Courts 1 & 2, and gained straight-set singles victories on Courts 1, 2, 3 and 5.
 
Stetson (12-8, 3-4) next participates in the ASUN Tournament, April 18-20 in DeLand. The Hatters will learn their seeding and schedule once conference play is completed later today.
