Hatters Drop Series Finale to Kennesaw State

DeLand, Fla. -- Kennesaw State scored single runs in the fifth and seventh innings to take the rubber game of this weekend's ASUN softball series 2-0 over Stetson Sunday afternoon at Patricia Wilson Field.

Hailey Andrews pitched a three-hit shutout to lead the Owls (24-21, 9-6 ASUN). A total of eight runs combined were scored in the low-scoring three-game set.

Molly McLaughlin hit her second double of the weekend and sixth of the season for the Hatters (15-24, 4-8 ASUN).  Riley Russell and Elizabeth Jackson also singled.

Tori Perkins (12-11) went the distance for Stetson, allowing six hits and two runs. She did not walk a batter.

The Hatters will return to action next weekend as they travel to Nashville, Tenn. to face the Lipscomb Lady Bisons.
