Hatters Fall Twice at Lipscomb

Maddie Marchiando goes 3-for-7 with a double

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Nashville, Tenn. -- Lipscomb defeated Stetson 7-3 in the continuation of Friday's halted game and then posted a 7-5 victory in Game 2 Saturday afternoon at Draper Diamond.

Maddie Marchiando had three hits to lead the Hatters (14-27), who fell to 4-10 in ASUN play.

The Bisons (31-13-1) improved to 10-4.

Stetson scored three runs in the final inning of Game 1 and five runs in the first two innings of Game 2.  Riley Russell had a two-single in the Hatters' four-run first inning.  Lizzie Shubert and Holli Jones also walked in a run.  

Elizabeth Jackson had two hits on the day and scored two runs.  Russell had a pair of hits and stole three bases.  She and Jones each registered two RBI.

The Hatters will visit FGCU next weekend in Fort Myers, Fla.
