Hatters Travel to FGCU for Three-Game Set

Preview
The Stetson Hatters will travel to Fort Myers, Fla. to face the FGCU Eagles this weekend in a three-game series at the FGCU Softball Complex. The teams will play a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Saturday and a single game at 1 p.m. Sunday. All three games will be broadcast on YouTube.

The All-Time Series
Stetson leads the all-time series 18-15 over FGCU. The Eagles have won two out of three in each of the last three seasons. The Hatters defeated the Eagles 3-0 on March 25 last season behind a one-hit shutout by Tori Perkins. 

Walk-Off Winners
Stetson has had nine come-from-behind victories this season, including four walk-offs.  Three of the four walk-offs came in games where Stetson was down to its final out (Maryland, North Alabama, and Bethune-Cookman).  Against Maryland and B-CU, the Hatters scored four runs after being down to their final out. Elizabeth Jackson has two walk-off singles.

NCAA Leader
Tori Perkins ranks fifth in walks allowed per seven innings (0.83). She also ranks seventh in the ASUN in ERA (2.12), fourth in wins (12), second in complete games (17), and second in shutouts (4).  

ASUN Leaders
Senior Ashly Smith ranks seventh in the league in doubles (10) and ninth in RBI (24). Riley Russell ranks second in the ASUN with 23 stolen bases.  Elizabeth Jackson ranks eighth in batting average (.346). Tori Perkins ranks second in complete games (18) and second in shutouts (4).  Blake Crews leads the ASUN in runners caught stealing (11).  

On The Bases
The Hatters have stolen 68 bases in 41 games (1.66 per game), good for 30th in the NCAA.  Riley Russell ranks 34th among all individuals with a 0.56 steals-per-game average.
