Hatters Drop a Pair at FGCU

Fort Myers, Fla. -- FGCU swept an ASUN doubleheader from Stetson Saturday, winning by 2-1 and 3-0 scores at the FGCU Softball Complex.

In game one, Devin Lewis squeezed home Ashly Smith in the top of the fourth inning to give the Hatters (15-28, 4-12) a 1-0 lead.

The Eagles (28-16, 13-3 ASUN) rallied for two runs in the bottom of seventh inning to walk-off with the win.

In game two, FGCU scored a run in the fourth and two in the fifth.  The Hatters managed just two hits off of Eagles' starter Marrisa Mesiemore.

For the Hatters, Tori Perkins went the distance in game one and Curstin Taylor pitched a complete game in game two.

Riley Russell stole two bases on the day to give her 25 steals for the season.

The series finale will be at 1 p.m. Sunday.
