Hatters Edged at Kennesaw State

Stetson men's tennis suffered a 4-3 loss to Kennesaw State in ASUN Conference action, Saturday in Kennesaw, Ga.
 
The Hatters (9-11 overall, 1-4 ASUN) started off the afternoon on the right foot by winning the doubles point. The duo of Antoine Sanchez & Dennis Moses opened with a 7-5 win on Court 3, and Coilin MacNamara & Clement Hamel gave the Hatters the point with a 7-6 victory on Court 2.
 
But Kennesaw State (9-11, 3-2) regrouped after doubles and won four straight singles matches to get the team win. The Owls posted straight-set victories on Courts 6, 3, 4, and 1, respectively, as they moved over .500 in conference play.
 
Despite the loss the Hatters closed the day strong by winning the final two singles matches. Christian Mills rallied for a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-4) win on Court 5, and Sanchez closed the match with a 0-6, 6-3, 6-1 triumph on Court 2.
 
The Hatters return to action when they host North Alabama, 5 p.m., Thursday, at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
