Hatters Reach Grand Final at IRA Championships

Stetson men's rowing used a strong effort and a photo-finish to advance to the Grand Final in the Varsity 4+ at the IRA Championships, which continued on Saturday at Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif.

Stetson has reached the Grand Final for the first time in program history in the program's inaugural trip to the IRA Championships.

The Hatters finished third in their heat in a time of 6:26.56, just edging out Boston University (6:26.92) for third. Washington (6:22.50) and MIT (6:26.53) finished ahead of the Hatter and their quintet of Walter Klein (coxswain), Nick Hall, JT Lamon, Xavier Mulligan and Zachary Ewing.

The Grand Final will feature Stetson, Washington, MIT, Cal, Princeton and Georgetown. The race is scheduled to go off at 12:15 EDT and can be viewed live here.
