Athletics Adds New Staff

The Stetson Athletics Department has added a number of new staff members in time for the start of the new athletics year.
 
The new staff includes Assistant AD for Compliance Scott Hobbs, Assistant AD for Tickets Daniel Schubert, Assistant Director of Ticket Operations A'driana Sams, Assistant Director of Athletic Marketing and Promotions Zach Hurst, Coordinator of Ticket Sales Marisa Sloboda, Assistant Athletic Trainers Sam Wichael and Allie Windom, and Assistant Equipment Managers Mark Morrow and Blake Micciche, who are working under Justin Reynolds, who is in his fourth year as an Assistant Equipment Manager.
 
Hobbs comes to Stetson with almost 20 years of experience in Athletics Compliance, most recently in a five-year tenure as Associate AD for Compliance at the University of North Texas. His other career stops have included the University of Kansas, Murray State University, the University of Maine and Niagara University.
 
Daniel Schubert comes to Stetson from Florida Atlantic University where he worked for the Aspire Group. Prior to his time in Boca Raton, Schubert spent almost five years overseeing the Athletic Ticket Office at Coastal Carolina University where his efforts resulted in significant increases in revenues from ticket sales.
 
Hurst comes to Stetson from Ashland University in Ohio where he spent the previous 10 months as Assistant AD for Marketing, Promotions and Game Operations. An Indiana State (2013) graduate, Hurst spent four years at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, starting as Assistant AD for Marketing and Promotions before earning a promotion to Associate AD for External Affairs.
 
Sams joined the Stetson Athletics staff from the University of North Florida where she spent more than three years working in the Athletics Ticket Office while working as an undergraduate. She received her Bachelor's degree in Sport Management this past spring.
 
Sloboda is a former Stetson cheerleader whose focus in the Athletics Ticket Office will be on increasing revenues and attendance through online sales and social media marketing. She graduated from Stetson last spring with a degree in American Studies and Education.
 
Wichael joined the Hatters from UCF where he spent the last four years, primarily working with the Knights' baseball program. A graduate of Cedarville University in Ohio, Wichael received his Master's in Exercise Science and Human Performance from Delta State University in 2013. Wichael works with the Stetson football program along with the women's tennis team.
 
Windom joined the Stetson Athletic Training staff from Ohio State University where she had served as an Athletic Training Intern for the past year, primarily working with the men's volleyball team. Eastern Kentucky University where she served as a graduate assistant Athletic Trainer, earning her Master's degree in Sports Administration.
 
Morrow, a former Stetson football player, has returned as an Assistant Equipment Manager and has been joined by Micciche, who is a former student equipment manager with the University of Florida football program. Micciche received his undergraduate degree in Sport Management this past spring. Morrow received his degree in History from Stetson in 2018.
