NOTES AND STATS | Notes

One week after knocking off an SEC opponent, the Hatters will try their hand against teams from the Big Ten and the AAC.

Stetson will travel to Tampa, Fla., this weekend for the 2019 USF Classic.  The Hatters (2-5) will face the Indiana Hoosiers (8-2) at noon on Friday and battle the Bulls at 7 p.m. Saturday.  There will be no video coverage, but Indiana is providing a radio broadcast for Friday's match.  Live stats will also be available for both matches.

About the Opponents
Indiana is 8-2 and receiving votes in the AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll.  The Hoosiers defeated #15 Kentucky 3-2 on the road last Saturday and posted a 3-0 win over FGCU on Friday.  It will be the first ever meeting between the two teams.

USF is 4-6 after earning a 3-2 win at home over Jacksonville on Tuesday.  The Bulls lead the all-time series 35-3 over the Hatters.

Last Week
Stetson went 1-2 at the JSU Gamecock Classic, toppling Mississippi State 3-2 on Friday.  It was Stetson's first win over an SEC opponent in 34 years, and it is the only loss for Mississippi State this season (8-1).  Stetson tied a school rally-scoring-era record with nine solo blocks against Sam Houston State. Eva Deisa was named to the all-tournament team after posting a pair of double-doubles and leading the team with 46 kills.

Strong Starts
The Hatters are 9-5 in sets 1 and 2 combined but just 3-12 in sets 3, 4, and 5.  Stetson has not trailed 2-0 in any match this season.

Road Warriors
The Hatters still have not played a home match and will not do so until Sept. 27 vs. Lipscomb, which will be the team's second ASUN match of the year.
