Hatters Fall at No. 16 FIU

No. 16 FIU downed visiting Stetson, 2-0, on Tuesday in Miami, Fla.
 
The Hatters (5-4) saw their two-game win streak snapped as the Panthers (6-0-2) owned a 10-3 advantage on shots, in a 4-0 edge in shots on-goal.
 
FIU produced all the offense it needed in the 73rd minute when Talla Faye scored during a scramble in front of the goal. Ronaldo Marshall was credited with the assist.
 
The Panthers added a second goal when Andrew Booth scored in the 89th minute for a 2-0 advantage.
 
Stetson goalkeeper Lute Lillo-Portero made two saves.
 
The Hatters return to ASUN Conference play at Jacksonville, 7 p.m., Saturday.
