Men's Basketball in COVID-19 Isolation; Season Opener Postponed

DeLand, Fla. -- Stetson men's basketball is currently in isolation and following state and CDC guidelines, as well as those outlined in the University's Safer Stetson plan, after a positive COVID-19 test impacting one student-athlete was revealed on Wednesday. Out of an abundance of caution, all team activities have been temporarily suspended.

The Hatters are scheduled to be released from isolation at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25. Stetson is currently scheduled to face Miami in the season opener for both teams later that same night, but the game has been postponed. The schools are looking at rescheduling the contest if a common date can be found.

Any impact this situation may have on currently scheduled games immediately following the Miami contest is unknown at this time.
