Hatters Edged at Georgia State

ATLANTA, Ga.--Stetson men's tennis saw its four-match winning streak end on Sunday as the Hatters were edged at Georgia State, 4-3.
 
The Hatters (7-3) opened the afternoon with a loss in doubles and trailed 1-0 as singles play began.
 
After dropping a match on Court 2, Fabian Penzkofer got the Hatters on the scoreboard with a 6-3, 6-2 win on Court 4. Clemet Hamel evened the team match for the Hatters as he authored a 7-5, 6-3 triumph on Court 1.
 
Tim Gennes gave the Hatters a 3-2 lead with a 6-1, 7-6 win on Court 6, but the Panthers bounced back with a win on Court 3.
 
It came down to Court 5, where Georgia State's Patrick Lazo outlasted Christian Mills in three sets 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.
 
The Hatters return to action when they visit UCF, Sunday, March 1, in Orlando.
