Match Recap: Men's Tennis | | Athletic Communications

Hatters Dominate FAMU

TALLAHASSEE--Stetson men's tennis got back in the win coulmn on Sunday with a 6-1 victory at Florida A&M.
 
The Hatters (4-2) rebounded after getting swept at USF on Saturday.
 
Stetson and FAMU split the two active doubles matches, with the Stetson duo of Clement Hamel & Alexandre Hillhouse getting a 6-1 victory at No. 2. Stetson clinched the point when the Rattlers were forced to forfeit at No. 3 doubles, as they only dressed five players.
 
Stetson followed doubles play by winning five of six singles matches. Bergevi was a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (13) winner on Court 1, and Hillhouse took a 6-1, 6-1 decision on Court 3.
 
Tim Gennes eased his way to a 6-3, 6-1 win on Court 4, and Christian Mills earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory on Court 5.
 
Josh Laka won by forfeit on Court 6.
 
The Hatters next host Georgia Southern, 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15 at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
