Hatters Fall 12-1 to Valparaiso

DeLand, Fla. -- Valparaiso scored five runs in the second inning and five more in the third en route to a 12-1 victory over Stetson Sunday afternoon at Patricia Wilson Field.

The Hatters (7-12) collected three hits in the game. Nyah Morgan went 1-for-2 with a run scored.  She finished the weekend with four hits including a pair of home runs and earned a spot on the Stetson Invitational all-tournament team. Lizzie Shubert was also tabbed after recording three RBI and hitting a walk-off home run vs. Bethune-Cookman.

Stetson and Valparasio will meet again for a single game on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
