Hatters Complete Season at ASUN Championship

Stetson Falls 3-0 to Jacksonville State in Quarterfinals

Fort Myers, Fla. -- The Jacksonville State Gamecocks hit .429 as a team en route to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-19) victory over Stetson in the ASUN quarterfinals Thursday afternoon at Alico Arena.

JSU (24-6) advances to face Kennesaw State in Friday's semifinal round. The Hatters conclude the 2021 season with a mark of 13-16.

The Gamecocks committed just nine attack errors the entire match (48-9-91).  Katie Montgomery led the way with 17 kills and a .517 attack percentage.

ASUN Freshman of the Year Nyah Molina registered 29 assists and 10 digs for her 23rd double-double of the season and her 13th double-double in a row.  She holds the school record for most double-doubles in a season in the rally scoring era.

Elena Djokovic led the Hatters with 10 kills and finishes the season with 384, the most by a Hatter hitter since Kaley Melville in 2013 (417).  Anabelle Standish and Kaylee Oscarson added nine kills apiece.

Seniors Madison Baynard, Lindsey Leipold, and Alejandra Perez completed their Hatter careers.  Perez finished with 446 digs on the season, good for the fifth highest single-season total in school history.
