Hatters Visit Kennesaw State, Liberty for Weekend Road Trip

Stetson begins stretch run with ASUN Championship on the horizon

Week 11 Preview
With just three matches remaining in the regular season, the Stetson Hatters hit the road looking to move up in the ASUN East Division.  On Friday, fourth-place Stetson visits third-place Kennesaw State at 7 p.m.  On Sunday, the Hatters head to Lynchburg, Va. to face fifth-place Liberty.  First serve is set for 1 p.m. Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.  

ASUN Berth
The Hatters have already clinched an ASUN Championship berth. Stetson can finish as high as third in the division or as low as fifth pending the results of the final three matches of the regular season.  The ASUN Championship will be held in Fort Myers on Nov. 18-20.

All-Time Series
- Kennesaw State leads the all-time series 19-7. The Owls have won 10 of the last 11 overall, including a 3-2 win in DeLand earlier this season.
- Liberty leads the all-time series 6-2. The Hatters defeated the Flames 3-2 earlier this season in DeLand. The teams are tied 1-1 all-time in Lynchburg.  The Hatters won the previous meeting in 2019, 3-2, then made a mad dash to the Richmond airport to catch their flight home.

ASUN Leader
Elena Djokovic leads the ASUN in kills (339) and ranks third in kills-per-set (3.65).  In ASUN play, she leads the league in kills (193) and kps (3.94).

Defensive Player of the Week
Freshman setter Nyah Molina was named ASUN Defensive Player of the Week after registering 28 digs and three blocks against UNF on Saturday.  She is the ASUN leader in digs among non-liberos (3.60).

Standish Heating Up
Sophomore Anabelle Standish has been fire of late.  The recent 6-rotation player is averaging 2.88 kps, 2.31 dps, 0.75 bps and hitting .281 over the past four matches. She has two double-doubles in a row.

Muldrow Stepping Up
Middle blocker Kennedy Muldrow has stepped up brilliantly in the injury absence of senior Alexis Thompson. In the past six matches, Muldrow is hitting a team-high .326 and averaging 1.77 kills-per-set and 1.09 blocks-per-set.  

Miscellaneous
- Stetson leads the ASUN in digs-per-set (16.39) and solo blocks (84)
- Kaylee Oscarson leads the ASUN in solo blocks (29)
- Head Coach Yang Deng needs one win for 50 in her career

This season, Stetson is:
- 12-1 when outhitting opponent
- 10-0 when hitting .200 or better
- 9-1 when winning the first set
- 9-0 when leading 2-0 at the break
- 3-2 in fifth sets
