FGCU Holds Off Hatters

DeLand, Fla. -- FGCU survived two tight sets to begin the match before coming away with a 3-0 victory over Stetson Sunday afternoon at the Edmunds Center.

The Eagles (5-1, 3-1 ASUN) won by scores of 25-23, 25-23, and 25-15 to complete the weekend sweep.

Elena Djokovic led the Hatters (1-2, 0-2 ASUN) with 15 kills.  Chelcie Spence picked up a match-high 22 digs.  Stetson hit .149 for the match.

The first two sets featured 19 ties and five lead changes combined.

Stetson will host North Florida next Thursday and Friday at the Edmunds Center.
