Hatters Fall to FIU

DeLAND--Stetson women's tennis was blanked by FIU, 7-0, Monday at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
 
Playing for the first time since Feb. 7, the Hatters (1-3) lost two of three doubles matches and were swept in singles play by the Panthers (3-0).

The doubles tandem of Brooke Milner and Katie Kubicz got the Hatters started on the right foot by winning No. 2 doubles, 6-1. But nothing else went right for the Hatters after that.

"FIU played well today," Stetson head coach Travis Sandlant said. "I was pleased with how we played doubles today. Unfortunately, the singles was not that standard that we set. We look to rebound on Friday against FAMU."
 
Stetson next hosts Florida A&M, 11 a.m., Friday at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
