Hatters Downed by North Florida, 5-2

Stetson women's tennis suffered a 5-2 loss to ASUN Conference for North Florida, Monday at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
 
The match was originally scheduled for Sunday but inclement weather in Deland forced the match to Monday.
 
UNF (8-6 overall, 2-0 ASUN) swept through doubles, getting quick results on Courts 1 and 2 for a 1-0 lead in the team match.
 
The Ospreys continued to excel in singles, taking a quick 3-0 lead with victories on Court 2 and Court 5.
 
Stetson's Brooke Milner interrupted UNF's momentum with a 6-4, 6-2 victory on Court 4, and Katie Kubicz closed the gap to 3-2 with her 6-4, 6-2 win on Court 3. But the Ospreys closed the match by winning three set matches on Courts 6 and 1.
 
The Hatters next visit FGCU, 5 p.m., Saturday, March 27.
