DeLand, Fla. -- For the second time this season, Stetson volleyball senior libero Chelcie Spence has been named the ASUN Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Spence averaged a lofty 6.3 digs-per-set last week to help lead Stetson to two ASUN victories over Jacksonville. She collected 20 digs on Friday, including her school-record breaking 1449th career dig. She picked up 24 digs in just three sets on Saturday to top the 20-dig mark for the fifth time this year.

For the season, Spence leads the ASUN and ranks eighth in the NCAA in digs-per-set (5.88). It is her fourth career Defensive Player of the Week award.

Winners of three in a row, the Hatters (4-3, 3-3 ASUN) will visit Jacksonville (2-8, 0-6) at 6 p.m. Wednesday with live coverage on ESPN+.
