"We are graduating our largest senior class and they have all made a huge impact on the program," Stetson coach
Katie Thurstin said. "They arrived on campus to discover there was a new coaching staff and a new direction for the program. We asked them directly, 'Do you want to be girls who row boats or Division I athletes who make history at Stetson?' They all had a tough choice make, to stay and step up to the challenge or to transfer. We are very grateful each one of them chose to stay because we wouldn't be where we are without them."
Â
Those senior members of the Stetson team include: Dittmann, Scott, Nivison, Rines, Mason,
Anna King,
Cecilia Fernandez, Dever and Armstrong.
Â
Racing will begin on Sunday morning with a pair of heat races for the V4 boats, followed by two heat races for the JV 8 boats and then two heat races for the Varsity 8 crews.
