DeLAND, Fla. — The Stetson women's rowing team will head to Pennsauken Township, N.J. this weekend to compete in the 2026 MAAC Women's Rowing Championship on Cooper River Park, with championship racing scheduled for Sunday morning.
The Hatters will compete against Canisius, Fairfield, Jacksonville, Marist, Merrimack and Sacred Heart as the conference championship returns to Cooper River Park for the seventh time in the past eight seasons.
Championship races will stream live on ESPN+, with morning coverage beginning prior to the finals session. The awards ceremony is scheduled for approximately 11:30 a.m.
Stetson enters the championship after several strong performances throughout the spring season, including competitive outings at SIRA and the Sacred Heart Dual. Most recently, the Hatters' Varsity 4 delivered its best performance of the year on the Lower Housatonic River, finishing just behind Sacred Heart and Monmouth while defeating Fairfield.
"The varsity four put together a highly competitive race and delivered their best performance of the season," assistant coach Andrew Rouse said following the team's last regatta. "They will look to build on that momentum as the team heads into the conference championship."
The Hatters are expected to compete in the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8 and Varsity 4 events, though lineups remain subject to change as the team enters championship weekend.
