Ten Hatters Earn CRCA Scholar Athlete Recognition

DeLAND, Fla. — Ten members of the Stetson Women's Rowing team have been named 2026 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar Athletes, recognizing their outstanding achievements in both the classroom and on the water.

All ten honorees were also selected to the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team earlier this spring, further underscoring the program's commitment to academic excellence.

Representing the Hatters on this year's CRCA Scholar Athlete list are:

The CRCA Scholar Athlete Award honors rowers who have demonstrated exceptional performance academically and athletically. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, satisfy all institutional and conference eligibility requirements, be in their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of eligibility, and compete in at least 75% of their team's championship season races.

"These women have embraced the challenge of pursuing excellence in every area of their collegiate experience," said Director of Rowing Jamie Francis. "To earn both MAAC All-Academic Team recognition and CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors speaks to their commitment, discipline, and ability to balance the demands of Division I athletics with a rigorous academic workload. We are incredibly proud of what they have accomplished."

The ten recipients represent a wide range of academic disciplines and exemplify the values that define the Stetson Women's Rowing program. Their success reflects not only individual achievement but also a team culture that prioritizes scholarship, leadership, and competitive excellence.

The CRCA Scholar Athlete selections cap another successful academic year for the Hatters, who continued to make strides on the water while maintaining the high academic standards that have become a hallmark of the program.
