No. 21 FGCU Downs Hatters 78-41

DeLand, Fla. -- FGCU connected on 15 3-pointers as the 21st-ranked Eagles defeated Stetson 78-41 Wednesday night at the Edmunds Center.

The Eagles (16-1) won their ninth game in a row and improved to 5-0 in ASUN play.

ASUN Newcomer of the Week Tatiana Streun led the Hatters (8-10, 1-4 ASUN) with 12 points to extend her double figure scoring streak to seven games. She also pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.  Kiya Turner added 10 points on 5-for-10 shooting.

The Hatters were held without a 3-point field goal (0-for-9) for the first time since the 2017-18 season.

Kerstie Phills led the Eagles with 23 points and nine rebounds.

Having completed its first run of games against ASUN East Division opponents, the Hatters will begin a stretch a six straight against the West Saturday afternoon at North Alabama. Tip-off at Flowers Hall is set for 2 p.m. ET.
