Hatters make easy work of FNU

DeLand, Fla. -- The Stetson University women's tennis team overcame a rain delay and two time changes on Saturday afternoon as the Hatters came away with a 7-0 shutout of Florida National University at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.

Despite multiple time changes and a rain delay, the Hatters (2-0) managed to pull out a 7-0 sweep as Stetson began doubles action with Elodie Foster and Alanna Di Francesco taking their match 6-1. Anais Gabriel and Nadejda Maslova followed suit as the pair took their match 6-1 as well.

In singles action, Maslova, Di Francesco and Foster continued their success as all three took their matches 2-0. Anna Dovgopolyi, Laetia Rizk and Daliyah Hammoud led the backend of the lineup as all three came out on top, leading to the Hatters 7-0 win.

Stetson's women's tennis team will be back in action right away as the Hatters host Atlantis University on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
