DELAND, Fla. – In its final tune-up match before starting ASUN action, the Stetson University men's tennis team easily dispatch the visiting Omaha Mavericks on Sunday afternoon at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center, which ran the Hatters' home record to a perfect 5-0.

The Hatters took the doubles point as
Ervin Eminefendic and
Sven Thiergard at No. 2 and Diogo Marquas and
Tristan Dumas at No. 3 registered victories over their opponents, 6-2 and 6-1 respectively.

In singles action, all six Hatters won their first sets, while No. 6
Sami Ozzor (6-2, 6-1), No. 2 Dumas (6-2, 6-2) and No. 5
Tim Gennes (6-2, 6-4) secured the match for Stetson with those victories.

At No. 3, Eminefendic was pushed a bit harder, but won his match 6-3, 7-5 and at No. 4
Sven Thiergard needed an extra set to take his match 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8).

Stetson (7-5) is off for a week before starting conference play against nationally-ranked North Florida. In the latest rankings the Ospreys (8-5) held the No. 68 position. The match will take place at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center next Sunday, March 20 with a 3 p.m. start time.
