DELAND, FL - Stetson women's soccer suffered its first defeat in ASUN Conference play, 3-1, to North Florida Sunday night at the Athletic Training Center.

The Hatters cracked the scoreboard first when sophomore forward-turned-right back Lea Alexander tallied her second goal of the season with a long cross that curled into the goal bouncing in off the back post, 1-0 to the home side in the 10th minute.

That is where the Hatters good fortunes turned with the Ospreys tallying the next three goals. North Florida's Zara Siassi tallied the tying goal, heading in a free kick in the 26th minute, although the score remainder tied through halftime.

UNF tallied a pair of goals in the second half to take the lead and put insurance behind it. First, Gabrielle Daly finished an offensive attack with a pair of assist going out to Haynes Grant and Amanda Hartman connecting on the play, 2-1 to the Ospreys.

North Florida's Allie Fekany capped off the scoring with a converted penalty kick in the 68th minute [3-1].

The Hatters will try to bounce back from Saturday with a match against FGCU with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m., at the Athletic Training Center.
