Box Score The Hatters fell to the Bisons Friday night 1-3 at the Edmunds Center.

Stetson started out hot in the first set taking a 3-1 lead. The score would be tied at three before going on a three-point scoring run to take a 6-3. A short while later the Hatters would go on another three-point scoring run to take an 11-7 lead with a block from
Leilani Vitale. Lipscomb would battle back as Head Coach
Yang Deng would call a timeout with her team up 17-14. The Hatters would come out of the timeout getting kills from
Nyah Molina and
Amaris Carter to stretch the lead back out to five forcing Lipscomb to use their first timeout. Stetson would be up 21-17 when Lipscomb challenged the call on the floor. The Hatters kept the point as the challenge was unsuccessful. After Lipscomb second timeout
Selin Kalkan would score an ace.
Anabelle Standish would score the kill on set point capping off a four-point scoring run to win the set 25-18. Stetson would finish the first set with four blocks.Â

The Hatters would start the second set down 1-3 before going on a four-point scoring streak to take the lead 5-3 with
Sophia Groom getting a kill and then a block. Stetson would start to slip as they found themselves down 8-13. After a timeout Stetson would go on a three-point scoring streak to cut the lead to 11-13 on kills from Kalkan and Groom as well as an ace from Vitale. Stetson would find themselves down 16-21 when they would use their second timeout of the set. Once again, they rattled off three straight points to cut the lead down to 19-22. Lipscomb would challenge the last point of the Hatters run however would lose their second challenge and have none the rest of the match. Stetson would drop the second set 19-25.

In the third set the Hatters couldn't find any offensive momentum as they would drop the set 13-25.

The fourth set started out as a battle with the Hatters taking a 2-1 lead before seeing the score tied at three and four. Stetson would end up taking a 6-4 lead before finding themselves down 7-9. The Hatters would rattle off three straight points to retake the lead 10-9. However, the Hatters would be outscored the rest of the way dropping the set 14-25.

Standish led the Hatters in kills with 13 followed by Kalkan with nine. Molina would lead the team in assists with 28 as Carter would lead the team with 12 digs.Â

The Hatters will return to the court tomorrow evening for a showdown with Austin Peay. The match will begin at 6pm at the Edmunds Center.Â
