DeLand, FLA - Stetson's Rowing team will be back in action this weekend for the DeLand Double Duals on Saturday, March 18^th.
 
A day full of racing and entertainment awaits at the Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center as the Hatters will be hosting their second home event of the spring. Stetson will be rowing against MAAC Conference rivals Drake and Jacksonville, along with Embry-Riddle, and Colgate. Racing will begin at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to conclude by 11 a.m.       
 
Starting at 11:15 a.m. Stetson rowing plans to recognize 12 of their seniors, followed by the christening of a new boat - F. Robert Huth Jr, named after current Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Huth and his wife Barbara are longtime Stetson Athletic supporters and we are proud to dedicate this boat and part of this amazing day to them.
 
Following the ceremony, Stetson rowing is partnering with Stetson's own Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience to host the Aquatic Center Fest. There will be food trucks, educational tables and live music for everyone to enjoy. Stetson students who are in attendance will be able to earn cultural credits.
 
The event will take place rain or shine, so pack your rain gear and head over to the Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center, which is located at 2636 Alhambra Avenue, approximately 15 minutes from Stetson's main campus.
