Softball Places Three on All-Conference Teams

 DeLand, Fla. -- Three Stetson University softball players have earned end of the season conference awards, as announced by the ASUN office on Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore utility player Kami Eppley (Jacksonville, Fla.) was named ASUN second team all-conference, senior outfielder Brianna Clary (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) was named ASUN third team all-conference, and first-year pitcher Hannah Marien (Longwood, Fla.) was named to the ASUN all-freshman team.
 
Eppley has started 51 games for the Hatters this season, including 33 at shortstop and 18 in the outfield. She is batting .316 with three doubles, three triples, two homers and 12 RBI on the season to go along with a .764 OPS.  Eppley leads the team and ranks sixth in the ASUN with 21 stolen bases, and she ranks second on the team with 48 hits. She has recorded 12 multi-hit games on the season, including three 3-hit games.
 
Clary leads the Hatters with a .344 batting average and 54 hits on the season, totals which rank seventh and sixth, respectively, in the ASUN. She also ranks 11th in the league with 16 stolen bases.  Clary has started 50 games in the outfield and leads the team with 13 multi-hit games.  In conference play, she is batting .347 with 25 hits and 12 runs scored.
 
Marien, meanwhile, has recorded nine victories in the circle while posting a team-best a 2.21 ERA. She has struck out 105 batters in 146.0 innings of work.  She has made 20 starts with 13 complete games and four shutouts, including a no-hitter in a 1-0 Stetson victory over Queens.  Overall, Marien ranks ninth in the ASUN in strikeouts and seventh in ERA.
 
Sixth-seeded Stetson (28-27) hosts seventh-seeded Austin Peay (26-22) in a win-or-go-home play-in game this afternoon at Patricia Wilson Field.  First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
