The Hatters will travel to Tallahassee this week for the FAMU Invitational presented by Sonny's. Stetson will start off the weekend facing FAMU on Friday September 8 at 6pm. They will follow that up on Saturday September 9 by taking on the University of South Alabama at 11am and Georgia Tech at 6pm.

History
The Hatters have faced off against the Rattlers 17 times with a 9-8 record. The teams last played in 2018 with the Hatters coming out on top winning three sets to none down in Miami. Stetson and South Alabama will face off for the first time in 17 years. The two teams played once a season from 2004-2006 with the Hatters coming out on top all three times. The Hatters and the Yellow Jackets have only played once before back in 2006. It is another matchup that has been 17 years in the making and Stetson will be looking to write a different story after losing 0-3 last time.

Scouting the Hatters
The Hatters have started the season 4-2 after going 2-1 in each of their first two tournaments. The Hatters are ranked top 50 in three different stats in the NCAA. They are ranked 13
th in Team Attacks Per Set with 37.81, tied for 35
th in Total Digs with 379, and 4
th in Digs Per Set with 18.
Haruka Sugimoto ranks 11
th in digs per set in the NCAA with 5.29 and she is tied for 37
th in total digs with 111.
Anabelle Standish leads the team with 81 kills equating to 3.86 per set.
Nyah Molina leads the Hatters with 185 assists and 8.81 assists per set.
Sophia Groom has the most total blocks on the team with 23.

Scouting the Opponents
The Rattlers have started the season 1-5 as their lone win came against Northern Arizona University. FAMU have played Jacksonville and Austin Peay this year, both ASUN opponents, losing 3-0 and 3-1 respectively. This will be a test for the Hatters to see how they match up with the ASUN teams that have already competed against FAMU. Brooke Lynn Watts leads the Rattlers with 86 kills in 26 sets played. London Hatch leads the team in assists with 147 followed by Alexandra Koleva with 86. Brooke Hudson leads FAMU with 133 digs while Iyonnie Sanford leads the team with 17 blocks.Â

The Jags have started the season 6-0 including a victory over Clemson. Through 21 sets Hannah Maddux leads the team with 90 kills followed closely behind by Maddie Soboleski with 87. Kailey Keeble leads the team with 251 assists which is almost 12 assists per set. Paige Lynn leads the Jags with 92 digs while Niki Capizzi leads the team with 35 total blocks.

The Yellow Jackets are 4-0 on the season and are ranked 11
th in the NCAA. They have two victories over Ohio State, as well as wins over Penn State and USF. Larissa Mendes leads Georiga Tech with 55 kills followed by Bianca Bertolino with 52 through 15 sets. Isabella D'Amico has 149 assists to lead the Yellow Jackets which is almost 10 assists per set. Paola Pimentel leads the team with 77 digs while Liv Mogridge has 18 total blocks.

Up Next
The Hatters will travel down to Miami for the 305 Challenge. They will face off against Indiana and FIU on September 15 with those games starting at 11am and 7pm respectively. Stetson will finish off the Tournament playing Miami on Saturday September 16 at 11am.
