The Hatters have started off the FAMU Invitational with a 3-0 win over the Rattlers. 10 different players saw the court for the Hatters.

In the first set both teams traded points until the Hatters went on a three-point run to go up 10-8 and further pulling away in the set 19-15. The Rattlers would rally back to tie the score at 21. Kills from
Nyah Molina and
Sophia Groom would help Stetson retake the lead. Groom would add another kill to win the set 25-22.

Twenty-five points wouldn't be enough to settle the battle of the second set. The Hatters would fall behind early in the set 6-10 before rallying back to be down just one as FAMU would call a timeout. Stetson would continue battling until both teams were knotted at 24 trading points until they were tied once again at 27. The Hatters would get kills form both
Lily Mueller and
Anabelle Standish to win the set 29-27.

The third set started out close once again until the Hatters were able to pull away by four points going up 15-11. The Rattlers would bring the score back to one before
Selin Kalkan earned back-to-back kills to help Stetson go up 22-19. FAMU again would rally back and tie the game at 23 before calling a timeout. An attack error from the Rattlers put the Hatters up one as Molina would get the kill for match point helping the Hatters sweep the Rattlers three sets to none.

Standish led the Hatters with 15 kills followed by
Amaris Carter and Groom with nine kills. Molina once again led the team with 36 assists. Stetson totaled four service aces. Of the five team blocks Groom tallied four of them.
Haruka Sugimoto led the team again in digs totaling 17 followed by Standish who collected 13.Â

The Hatters will take the court again tomorrow as they will face off against South Alabama at 11am. The Jaguars lost to both the Rattlers and the Yellow Jackets today. After they face South Alabama, Stetson will have a wait as they will then take on Georgia Tech at 6pm.
