History

Scouting the Hatters (11-7, ASUN 3-1)
Stetson split their two games last week with their win coming against Queens up in North Carolina. Four different Hatters registered double-digit points with
Josh Smith tallying his first double-double of the season.
Jalen Blackmon leads the team in scoring averaging 22.2 points per game and he added 19 to his total against Queens.
Stephan Swenson and Trey Thompson were the other two Hatters to reach double figures, scoring 16 each.
Aubin Gateretse leads the Hatters with 7.3 rebounds and the insertion of Smith into the lineup has allowed for the team to grab more rebounds on both ends of the court. Thompson also had 4 blocks against Queens more than doubling his season numbers up to that point.
Stetson ranks first overall in free throw percentage in the NCAA hitting at an 82.3% clip eventhough they have been shooting below average the last two games. The team is shooting 46.1% from the field and 37.1% from beyond the arc. The team is averaging just under 10 three points made per game which reflects in their average points per game of 78.
Scouting the Cougars (8-15, IND)
The Cougars are led by Wesley Cardet Jr. who is scoring 17.6 points per game while shooting 43% from the field and 35% from three. He also leads the team in assists. Jahsean Corbett leads Chicago State in rebounds with 7.6 per game. The Cougars have three different players with double digit blocks on the season limiting the opponents chances in the paint. Chicago State is averaging 64.2 points per game while surrendering just over 70. They shoot under six three-pointers per game but do average over 14 shots from the free throw line. The Cougars like to pressure on defense forcing almost 14 turnovers per game and turning that into 14 points off turnovers per game.
