JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Looking to secure another ASUN victory, the Stetson Hatters traveled to Duval County and battled to a gritty 0-0 draw against the Jacksonville Dolphins at Southern Oak Stadium on Saturday night.
In a rematch of last season's ASUN Quarterfinal, which Stetson won 2-0, goalkeeper Nicolo Radaelli stood tall, recording his third clean sheet of the season. The draw moves the Hatters to 3-4-3 overall and 2-0-1 in ASUN play, keeping them as one of just two teams still unbeaten in conference action.
The game was largely a defensive battle, with Stetson managing five shots, including one on target. The Hatters faced six shots from Jacksonville, two of which were on goal, but Radaelli was up to the challenge, making two key saves. Afonso Conde had Stetson's best scoring chance, but his effort in a crowded box was denied by the Dolphins' goalkeeper.
Stetson will remain on the road for their next match, a Tuesday night showdown against the USF Bulls in Tampa at 7:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to monitor social media for any updates regarding possible inclement weather.
