Charleston, SC – Stetson Men's Basketball fell to The Citadel 74-52, Monday night.
The Hatters kept the Bulldogs within striking range for the first eight minutes. However, The Citadel pulled away by double digits and Stetson trailed at the half 34-22.
Coming out for the second half
Jordan Wood started the Hatters out with a layup and after the Bulldogs hit two free throws,
Tristan Gross hit from behind the arc to cut the deficit to single digits. A couple of minutes later a dunk by
Josh Massey capped off a 14-6 run and brought the Hatters to within four. Stetson couldn't sustain the pressure and fell to The Citadel 74-52.
Wood led Stetson in scoring with nine points while going 4-9 from the field and 3-4 at the free throw line. Massey grabbed a team high seven rebounds while scoring eight points.
Abramo Canka led the team in assists with three, blocks with two and steals with two.
Stetson will look to bounce back against Oklahoma on Saturday, November 16. That game will tip off at 2:00pm.
