DELAND, FLA. - Former Stetson women's rower and class of 2023 graduate Madison Geib who currently rows for Oxford Brookes University, was part of the Aspirational Academic 8+ winners at the Henley Women's Regatta in Henley, England.

The Henley Women's Regatta is the premier regatta in the United Kingdom. More than 2,000 rowers compete from across the world on the iconic stretch of the River Thames.

Geib's current team, Oxford Brookes University, finished the Aspirtional Academic 8+ with a time of 4:44.4, three seconds ahead of the second place finisher to claim victory. Oxford Brookes has experienced a wealth of success in the 8+ as they won at the Ron Needs Challenge Cup and have won in the Academic 8+ category five times since 2018. Geib and the rest of the team will be competing in the Henley Royal Regatta this upcoming weekend.

Geib is currently working on a master's degree from Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England. Prior to Oxford Brookes, Geib graduated from Stetson in 2023 with a degree in Social Science. While at Stetson, Geib earned MAAC Academic Honor Roll, rowing primarily rowing in the Varsity 8+ boats.
