PENNSAUKEN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The Stetson Women's Rowing team is set to compete in the 2025 MAAC Women's Rowing Championship this Sunday, May 18, at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken Township, New Jersey. The Hatters will look to build on last season's fifth-place finish as they line up against a competitive field of nine teams all vying for the conference title and an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Women's Rowing Championship.
Stetson enters the championship seeded sixth among a deep and experienced field, which includes perennial contenders such as top-seeded Marist, three-time defending champion Jacksonville (No. 2), and last year's runner-up Sacred Heart (No. 3). The Hatters will also compete alongside fellow programs Fairfield, Canisius, Drake, Robert Morris, and Iona.
Sunday marks the sixth time in the last seven years that Cooper River has hosted the MAAC Championship, providing a familiar and historic venue for one of the conference's premier events. The Hatters will take to the water in the Varsity Four, Second Varsity Eight, and Varsity Eight races, with heats beginning at 10:00 a.m. and finals scheduled for the afternoon.
With a mix of veteran leadership and emerging young talent, Stetson aims to climb the conference ranks and challenge for top finishes in each event. The Hatters will look to cap their 2025 campaign with strong performances and continued momentum for the future of the program.
All morning heats and afternoon finals will stream live on ESPN+, with live results available throughout the day. The full championship schedule and broadcast links can be found at maacsports.com/rowing.
