DeLand, Fla. — Stetson men's basketball hits the road for a matchup with Miami on Monday, Nov. 9, at 7:00 p.m. in Coral Gables.
The Hatters are coming off an impressive home opener against Fort Lauderdale, where they knocked down 16 three-pointers, dished out 26 assists, and grabbed 54 rebounds in a 106–77 victory. Sophomore guard
Jamie Phillips Jr. once again led the way with 22 points, shooting 7-for-11 from the field, 3-for-6 from beyond the arc, and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line, while adding seven rebounds and four assists.
Jake Johnson made his first start of the season and provided a strong performance, going 4-for-5 from three-point range to finish with 15 points and five rebounds.

Collin Kuhl, and
J.R. Leonard also reached double figures in scoring to help pace the Hatters' balanced offensive attack.
Miami enters Monday's contest with a 2–0 record following wins over Jacksonville and Bethune-Cookman. Malik Reneau leads the Hurricanes in scoring, averaging 21 points per game through the first two outings. Ernest Udeh Jr. anchors Miami's interior play, averaging 12 rebounds and three blocks per contest. As a team, the Hurricanes are shooting 57 percent from the field, 35 percent from three-point range, and 75 percent from the free-throw line.
This will be the 84th meeting between Stetson and Miami, with the Hatters holding a 32–51 record against the Hurricanes.
